The Resurrection of Yahshua

We have all been so blessed with everyone who helped, led and participated in Passover 2025! This has been a truly amazing feast and we are so grateful for the all newcomers who joined us over the week! Here are some highlights from the lessons and messages that were shared.

This year's focus was on Yahshua the True Messiah. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the history and tradition of the feast, instead of Who it's really about. Passover started back with Moses and Israel when they were preparing to leave Egypt, but it was really the symbolic precursor for Yahshua's coming.

We can know from the Gospels (i.e. Luke 22:7) that Yahshua and His disciples participated in the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Passover. In the Old Testament, a pure lamb was sacrificed as atonement for the people's sins. Yahshua is our pure sacrifice for our sins.

The following day after Passover, Yahshua was betrayed and handed over to Pilate to be crucified. Our crucifixion service was very hands-on and served as a symbolic reminder that it was our sins that led our Savior to be beaten, whipped, and ultimately crucified. It is important to remember that Yahshua knew why He came to Earth. He willingly endured everything in His lifetime for a people who despised, hated, and rejected Him. We did not ask for salvation, but we should thank Him every day for His sacrifice.

The story doesn't end there. Undoubtedly, the devil was celebrating the death of our Savior. Satan and people's biggest error was in believing that the grave could contain Yahshua. After three days, He rose again, and proceeded to appear to a multitude of people. He also left us one of His greatest gifts, the Holy Spirit. Even though Yahshua could not remain on Earth with us, He sent the Helper to continue to guide us through life. Yahshua also showed us that death is not the end. Our mortal bodies may someday die and decay, but our spirits will live on with Yahshua for eternity!
