Resurrection Power

This past Sabbath we heard from Pastor Mark on Yahshua's resurrection and the power it has given all of us. Normally, many people only think about the miracle of Yahshua coming back from the dead, but they neglect the fact that it also blessed believers worldwide.

Romans chapter 8, verse 11 talks about how Yahshua was raised through the Spirit and that same Spirit gives life to our mortal bodies. As horrible as it may sound, Yahshua's death and resurrection was crucial to all believers so that we could receive His power! The best part about this gift is that is an active power. The Spirit is still very much alive and working today. This leads us into the next blessing the resurrection has given us.

Acts chapter 1, verse 8 talks about how we will receiver power through the Holy Spirit. Think about all the miracles Yahshua did while He was on Earth, that same power resides inside you! However, this power is not for us to keep to ourselves or gain attention for ourselves. The last half of Acts 1:8 clearly states that we have been given this immense power in order to be witnesses for Yahshua and spread the good news that He has given us.

Last, but certainly not least, Ephesians 1:19-21 talks about how this power through the Holy Spirit transcends all earthly power and authority. This power has been given to all those who believe by the great Creator and no one can take that away from us. No teacher, mayor, governor, president or other authority figure has the power to prevent us from living for Yahweh and spreading His word to His people!
